Our Training Philosophy
There are several schools of thought when it comes to the proper methodology of training younger athletes still in their growing years. MTT offers a challenging training program without risk of adverse affect. Programs for athletes at this age are customized according to age group to ensure the kids are getting stronger, faster, and are developing the proper muscle groups to enhance performance and prevent injury. Although our list of athletes trained includes the MN Wild, LA Kings, and MN Swarm plus several NHL, College, and Elite level High School players, one of our primary areas of focus is to get younger athletes exposed to a challenging and fun experience.
Our training approach with the Bantam/High School athletes is tailored different than that of our NHL, Junior and College. While they will be exposed to some of the same training systems as the pros, the workout regimen is different. We still build for strength, speed, endurance, and development of the "hockey muscle group", we do so at a well-managed pace.
